First Dutch Geothermal Congress

Dutch geothermal experts are getting together.

On the 13th and 14th of October 2011 the 1st Dutch Geothermal Congress will take place. During this congress all parties involved in geothermal energy, currently autonomous for the greater part, will be given the opportunity to share knowledge and experience. This is the first time that players in the geothermal industry will be brought together like this. The congress aims at bringing technical and practical advancements to the next level. All forms of energy utilization from the underground will be represented and there will be focus on scientific, policy as well as operational subjects.

Lectures consist of a mix of invited key-note speakers and lectures selected on the basis of submitted abstracts. By giving presentations on recent work specialists active in the field will exchange their knowledge and experience during two days. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion.

In order to provide a balanced program with lectures that cover all subjects involved a call for papers is recently spread.

Call for papers:

The call for papers for the 1st Dutch Geothermal Congress will be opened until Monday June 6th 2011. You are invited to submit an extended abstract about one of the following subjects:

conventional deep geothermal
heat pumps
EGS / Ultra Deep geothermal
drilling technology
case studies of underground planning and policy
design of ground heat exchanger systems (e.g. heat transfer and efficiency, effects of groundwater)
realisation of yield: interaction between plant and soil energy system
WKO and grounwater
